Jennifer Flinchum


Jennifer completed her PhD in Political Science from the University of Kentucky in August 2022. Her dissertation examines the effects of coup-born regimes and post-coup signals from international and domestic audiences on international cooperation and compliance with international commitments and norms.

She completed the Webster University Global Master of Arts in International Relations, studying in Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, England and Thailand.  Her capstone title was "Republican Political Violence in Post-Northern Ireland."  She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Kentucky.

In Fall 2022, she is teaching PS 230: Introduction to International Relations, PS 391: Civil Conflicts and PS 432: Global Conflicts.
