Pi Sigma Alpha
The Delta chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national Political Science Undergraduate Honorary Fraternity, was the third chapter instituted by Pi Sigma Alpha and has a long and time-honored tradition at the University of Kentucky going back to the early1920's. A number of exciting projects have been undertaken by the chapter, most recently were a series of brown bag lunches with political figures, and career planning seminars.
Eligibility: An undergraduate political science major with at least a B average (3.0) in 12 credit-hours of political science courses (at least one at the 300-level or above) and must have an overall GPA in the top third of his/her class (i.e., an overall GPA of 3.0).
A one-time national initiation fee of $35.00, along with a local fee of $15.00, are required when you hand in your application. This national fee goes to purchase an attractive certificate suitable for framing. The local fee helps fund Pi Sigma Alpha projects and events.

Phi Kappa Phi
Phi Kappa Phi is a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. As such, its members form a community of the best academic scholars and professionals. Phi Kappa Phi's mission is "To recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others."
Eligibility: An undergraduate student in any department who has completed at least twenty-four credit hours (or the equivalent). Juniors: at least seventy-two credit hours and rank in the top 7.5% of their class. Seniors: must rank in the top 10% of their class. Graduate: rank in the top 10% of their class.
