Professor Davis, received his B.A. from Centre College and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. His primary teaching and research interests are Latin American politics, U.S.-- Latin American relations, and comparative political behavior. His secondary fields include American political thought and Appalachian politics. Dr. Davis wrote "Working-Class Mobilization and Political Control: Venezuela and Mexico" (1989), as well as various articles in academic journals including: American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, Social Science Quarterly, Comparative Political Studies, Journal of Political and Military Sociology, Society, and Western Political Quarterly.
