Mason W. Moseley

Mason Moseley is an Associate Professor of Political Science at University of Kentucky. Previously, he was on faculty at West Virginia University and prior to that, served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania during the 2014-2015 academic year. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from Vanderbilt University in 2014, and his undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2008. His research examines political attitudes and behavior, particularly in the Latin American context, and has been published in the American Journal of Political Science, The Journal of Politics, Electoral Studies, Comparative Political Studies, and Political Research Quarterly. He has received funding from the National Science Foundation and was named a Fulbright Scholar (Argentina) for the 2024-25 academic year. He has also published three books: Protest State: The Rise of Everyday Contention in Latin America (Oxford University Press, 2018), Life in the Political Machine: Dominant-Party Enclaves and the Citizens They Produce (Oxford University Press, 2020), and Mobilizing for Abortion Rights in Latin America (Cambridge University Press, 2024).
