Sullivan Kosorochi Edeani

Sullivan is a Ph.D. student in Political Science specializing in International Relations with a minor in Comparative Politics. His research focuses on international maritime security, strategic vulnerability, and interstate conflict. His broader research examines how political institutions, historical legacies, and development processes shape conflict and governance outcomes, including the study of elite political dynasties, colonial legacies, bureaucratic institutions, and political violence.

From Enugu, Nigeria, Sullivan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, graduating summa cum laude, from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, and a Master’s degree in International Relations with Distinction from Tokyo International University, where he was awarded the prestigious Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship. He has professional experience as a legislative assistant in Nigeria, and has also served as a teaching assistant at Tokyo International University and Musashi University in Japan.
