WIPS (Women in Political Science) is an informal association that provides women graduate students with information, support, mentorship, and advocacy. Graduate students get the opportunity to connect with women political scientists within the department and across the University of Kentucky’s campus. Women graduate students also have substantial opportunities to engage with visiting scholars. The WIPS initiative represents one aspect of the graduate committee’s commitment to addressing issues related to gender diversity in the department.
