Director of Undergraduate Studies

Students typically are assigned a general advisor outside of the Department of Political Science to help with construction of their class schedules and with planning to graduate in a timely fashion. Sometimes, however, students need advising input directly from our department. Our Director of Undergraduate Studies is available to answer specific questions and to handle specific problems that arise out of our undergraduate program. For example, the DUS often:

  • Meets with prospective students and their families,
  • Works with the Registrar's Office when students seek to tranfer college credit from another university,
  • Directs students to university resources that might help with their academic advancement, and
  • Advises students seeking departmental honors when they graduate.

Welcome!  As the Director of Undergraduate Studies, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to connect with you and introduce you to our vibrant academic community and share the exciting opportunities the Political Science program has to offer.
